Kall Telecom will be a full-scale competitor to the former monopolist, the nationally owned Faroese Telecom, as the Faroese telecom industry is about to be deregulated.
Kall was founded in June 1999. The name Kall means 'Call' and can be used in Faroese as having different meanings. The name is chosen to focus on the company's preferred view of the market, where all types of telecom services, such as fixed and mobile telephony, internet access, net services and infotainment will merge into each other.
